Filkemp has been awarded in 2014 with the Honour to Merit Business Prize from the Portuguese-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, in the category of SME for the quick growth in selling in this Asiatic country. The main application of the exported filaments to China is the PMC (Paper Machine Clothing) that is, the manufacturing of industrial fabrics for paper machines, mainly in the drying area. This is one of the more sensitive and technologic application for monofilaments , because the fabrics roll in the more modern machine at 100Km/h, being subject to strong chemical and abrasive wear, and should display aerodynamic and durable stability which allow the highest speed of production, for as long as possible.
